Love Letter: A Missed Connection at Whole Foods

You never know if a stroll down the produce aisle could lead to a love connection.

Felice Neals, the writer of this week’s Modern Love essay, had an inkling that she would soon meet a handsome stranger after an impromptu candle reading with a friend.

However, she did not expect that a quick trip to Whole Foods (and a tumbling sweet potato that escaped her grasp at the checkout counter) would bring that premonition to life.
